 Tour, Picnic & Wine Tasting

Join us on Sunday, July 26th, 2009 for a tour, followed by a picnic and a wine tasting at Chamard Vineyards in Clinton, CT. Following a short drive to Chamard Vineyards, we will have a picnic lunch (bring your own), followed by a tour of the wine cellar and a wine tasting.
Chamard was originally incorporated in 1983 by the Chairman & CEO of Tiffany & Co. Their first vines were planted in the Spring of 1984, consisting primarily of Chardonnay with a small quantity of Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir. Their first wine, a 1988 Chardonnay, was released for sale in November of 1989. Their current wines include Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and others.
The cost of the tasting is $5.00 per person. Please send your checks, made out to BMW CCA CVC, to:

If for some reason, you are unable to join us for the drive to the Vineyard, but would still like to participate in the picnic and tasting, please indicate that when you send your check for the tasting to me, so we won’t be waiting for you at the start of the drive. If you plan to do that, Charmard Vineyards is located at 115 Cow Hill Rd., Clinton, CT. Directions can be found on their website at www.chamard.com.
For those who wish to join us for the caravan to the vineyards, we will be meeting at Exit 19, off Rt. 9 South, in the Big K parking lot off Rt. 372 West in the Cromwell Square Shopping Center. Meeting time will be at 10:00 AM.
Also, after the wine tasting, for those interested, there is shopping available at the Clinton Crossing factory outlet mall nearby the vineyard.

Directions: Take Exit 19 off Rt. 9 onto Rt. 372 West. The Big K Parking Lot is located in the Cromwell Square Shopping Center at 45 Shunpike Rd. on the North side of Rt. 372. Try to meet behind the DQ (Dairy Queen) restaurant.
