CVC Karting Session #2
At On Track Karting!
Wallingford, CT
Continuing after our successful December karting session, we are scheduling
Session #2 on
Sunday, February 5, at On Track Karting in Wallingford.
We will have the track all for ourselves, with only 8 people at a time running, to maximize your driving experience. Everyone will get to run 3 heats, with some time in between to figure out how you want to change your driving line. Based upon the feedback from the December session, everyone seemed happy with this arrangement.
We are limiting the session to a maximum of 24 people. To make the process a little easier for organization, we are using MotorsportReg.com to register for this session.
The track time will be from 10:30am - 11:30am, but you must be there by 10:00am to get registered with the track and set in the run groups.
If you have not raced at this track before, you must watch a safety video before you can run. If you have a full faced helmet, you can bring your own. Otherwise, the track has helmets available, but you will need to either bring your own head sock or buy one from them. Gloves are also recommended.
We have gotten some requests to allow kids to run. The track requires children to be 16 or older to run with adults. If we get enough interest expressed to us, we will try to set up a kids run group for the next karting session which we have tentatively planned for mid-March.

Meetings are held on Fridays (unless otherwise noted) and begin with a light dinner at 7 p.m., followed by the meeting at 8 p.m.

The Minor Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement is required to be submitted by parents/guardians of children under the age of 18 at ANY Connecticut Valley BMW CCA event where they are in attendance. This form MUST be printed in COLOR and given to the registrar or event coordinator on the day of the event. It must be signed by both parents. Printing it out and filling it in at home will save you time at registration and get you into the event faster.
